Take It Make It Challenge: September

Fabulous 44!

I saw a gorgeous card made by Crafty Clarey and decided to have a go at the same technique. I went through all my stamps but couldn't find a single tree stamp. I do have a lot of stamps but obviosly no stamps with  trees! (maybe I should get a few??? ;-) ) After a while I found this floral stamp and thought that it might work.

First of all I stamped the text stamp with antique linen on a white piece of paper. I overstamped the text with the floral stamp and heat embossed it with clear EP. Then I started to blend in all the distress colors. I really, really like this technique! It's amazing to see the resist appear behind all the bright colors! Finally I die-cutted the sentiment.

I'm sending this card to a friend of mine who is 4 days older than me. We went to school together and we have sent eachother birthday cards ever since then! We have known eachother since 39 years! (OMG!)
I'm also entering the TIMI challenge at Craft Stamper with this card. This month the theme is 'Take A Stamp' Stamp and Anything Goes.
