Hero Arts January 2013 challenge - altered tickets

A friend of mine is a member in an American scrap swap group and they are swapping altered tickets at the moment. There are a lot of tutorials on YouTube, and it looked like a fun thing to do! She wanted our Facebook group to do so as well. I wanted to try something new and enter the Hero Arts January Challenge!

The tickets are made by cutting strips of paper (mine are 3 x 30 cm) and with the blade that makes a perforation cut, cut at 6 cm again. Finally you punch holes where you have perforated the paper so it looks like tickets. So cute!

The first set of tickets have a coat of watered down white acrylic paint on old bookpages. I used neocolors II to color my stamped image and the edges of the ticket. The sentiment is embossed. I wanted to use the tickets straight away and made a simple card with just one stamp and some bling.

The second set of tickets I wanted somewhat more romantic, so I decided to try this new stamp of mine, a photograpy of a young girl. Pretty, pretty! I printed out the sentiments on the computer´, made a banner and added a layer of Crackle accents. Thought this card would be a nice card for Valentine's Day!
